This picture was actually planned to be my first at the weekly challenge "Straight" from dpchallenge.com
I got the idea in time, but was to late for the realization.
As to what it is? A fan and a radiator, hence the title.

First shot with my new ND filter. Turned out to be a bit dark, but for a start, I'm quite happy with the result.

It seems like an eternity since the last post here... hope to do better until the next one.
This is a shot I thought could enter this weeks Photo Friday challenge Wide angle. It is a shot of the Borobudur temple, near to Jogyakarta on the Indonesian island of Java(panorama of 11 shots, therefore not really a wide angle, but almost...).

This shot was taken on the volcano Piton de la Fournaise, on the La Réunion island, in the Indian Ocean east of Madagascar.
It's one of the most active volcanoes in the world, however its bursts can be predicted pretty well, therefore there is no danger to go for a hike.
The tower here is only one of many many old craters which became inactive.

Please meet the Agalychnis callidryas, probably the most famous frog in Costa Rica, featured on most tourists guide books.
I shot this one at the Ranario (frog museum) in Monteverde, Costa Rica. Since frogs are most active at night, you should visit the museum in the evening in the dark, only walking with a flash light to watch the frogs in their glass boxes.
The sound of all these tiny frogs in the dark, though a bit creepy, was an amazing experience.
Oh and by the way, these guys are about 5 to 7 cm big (2 to 3 in).
Note: you might want to try the black background with this shot.

Here's an iguana I shot in the woods around Montezuma, Costa Rica. They live freely in the nature and you can occasionally see one around.

It seems to me the older I get the less time I have... it's been such a long time since the last post, and I didn't shoot anything fresh in the meantime. But since I still didn't get to sorting out old pictures, I guess it's more or less OK.
This is the Playa de las estrellas (starsfishes' beach), called so because many starfishes can be seen there, in Bocas del Toro, Panama. When I look at this pic, I can't actually believe we spent a few days there... looks so great!
